TransWare has an approved QA program under which we can perform software quality assurance work in conformance with ISO 9001, 10CFR50 Appendix B, or your specific QA requirements.
Code System Reviews
TransWare has assisted electric utility customers with implementation and review of several code packages used in nuclear reactor core analysis. The packages were reviewed under the customer's software QA procedures. Also, TransWare performed an audit review of the PRESTO-II/B Software Requirements Specification under contract to the PRESTO-II/B computer code User's Group.
Software Development Procedures
TransWare participated in an EPRI-sponsored project to develop a set of software configuration control procedures that would be used by EPRI as guidelines for future software development efforts. These guidelines cover all aspects of software development and control, and include procedures for developing and maintaining nuclear safety-related software. TransWare also developed project- and corporate-level quality assurance procedures for the CHECWORKS code under an EPRI-sponsored project. This effort was needed to bring the CHECWORKS code under the 10CFR50 Appendix B QA program. CHECWORKS predicts piping erosion and corrosion.
